KL massage for tourists and locals – Jalan Bukit Bintang

Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur (KL) is a bustling area offers lots of shoppings, entertainments and eateries.  And Jalan Bukit Bintang or Bukit Bintang Street is the road that runs through this busy area.

Being a truly shopping heaven to many tourists, there are few major and popular shopping malls as listed below.

• Fahrenheit 88 (Opening in August 2010. It’s a refurbished version of the old KL Plaza)
• Sungei Wang Plaza
• Low Yat Plaza
• Berjaya Times Sqaure (which is located slightly away from Jalan Bukit Bintang)

Lot 10 Shopping Mall

Besides shopping, you would find lots of places for relaxation and rejuvenation, especially after a long walk in the shopping malls, in Bukit Bintang area. Yes, what I mean here are the spas, reflexology and massage centers that concentrated within this area.

If you’re belonging to the high-end category, there are many higher priced spa outlets in Starhill Gallery at the “Pamper” floor. As the name implies, this floor is dedicated exclusive to   beauty, health or total wellness treatments by some of the world’s best therapists.

If high-end spa seems out of reach, walk down the Jalan Bukit Bintang, there are many reflexology and massage centres that able to provide good foot/body massage, ear candling or even hot stone massage.

Well, walking this part of the street, you would experience the staff members of most of the massage parlours try to persuade you in with reflexology images and pitch you how good and cheap are their services.

These massage centres usually open till late. Some centres are operated as late as 3am to maximise profits.

If the above list doesn’t satisfy you, walking further across Jalan Imbi, will get you to Berjaya Times Square shopping mall. There are spas and massage centres at this shopping mall too.

Anyway, the better known massage or spa brands in Berjaya Times square are JoJoba Spa and Beauty and Footmaster Fish Spa.

Jojoba Spa (Tel:603 – 2141 7766, Fax: 603-21414766, Opening hrs:11am – 12:30am daily, www.jojoba.com.my) is located at the 15^th floor of  the Berjaya Times Square Hotel.  JoJoBa Spa is rated as the Malaysia Largest Tourism Spa in Kuala Lumpur with approximately 7000sq. Ft. It provides a wide range of pampering from foot and body massage to facial treatment.

Footmaster Fish Spa (Tel: 603 – 2144 3319, Opening Hours: 10am – 10pm daily) is located at the 6th floor and specialized in fish spa and foot massage.

By now, I’m sure you’ve plenty of options to choose from the above.

Alright, I just want to emphasize that there are more spas and massage centers around Bukit Bintang area which are not mentioned in this post.
